Webinar Sessions on Panchadashi Chapter 7 – Tripti-dipa-prakarana

The chapter titled ‘The Lamp of Contentment’ explains how by Self-knowledge one can be totally full and fulfilled in life. The sessions will be facilitated by Swami Advayananda, In-charge CIF.

The interactive sessions focus on gaining clarity on philosophical concepts and enhancing the study of Vedanta through the study of Swami Vidyaranya’s Panchadashi.

Panchadashi, the composition of Swami Vidyaranya, is a Prakarana Grantha. The major emphasis of this text is to help sincere seekers in getting the perfect vision of the Truth without any doubt whatsoever, in the philosophical aspects of the truth. The study of Vedantic philosophy is incomplete without a thorough study of Panchadashi.

This text, comprising of 15 chapters, is grouped into three categories:

a)  Viveka-panchakam – Dealing with the discrimination of the real from the non-real

b)  Dipa-panchakam–– Expounding the nature of the Self as pure consciousness

c)   Ananda-panchakam   – Dwelling on the bliss-nature of Brahman

It is opined by commentators that the three aspects of Brahman – Sat (existence), Cit (consciousness) and Ananda (bliss), respectively are covered in each Panchakam.

Each individual chapter is an independent text by itself, so do not hesitate to begin now though the webinar commenced during Nov 2017.
