Sri Adi Sankaracarya, an inspired saint, philosopher and missionary, could not rest content with merely producing exhaustive and splendid commentaries on the Upanisads, Bhagavad-gita and Bramhasutra. In his infinite love for seekers, he authored many treatises to help students at different planes of intellectual capacity gain the wisdom of the Upanisad's.

The message of the Upanisad's is comprehensively expressed through the Mahavakya's, which indicate the highest knowledge of oneness between the individual and Supreme. In this beautiful text, Vakya-vritti, Sri Adi Sankaracarya elaborates on 'Tattvamasi', one of the most well-known Mahavakyas.
