A nascent recognition of the spiritual path dawns when there arises in our hearts a thirst to know the higher purpose of life. This yearning propels us to enquire into the very essence of existence. By the grace of the Lord and by the merits accrued in previous lives, we start to step up the first rungs in the ladder of spiritual evolution, which culminates in the realisation of our true nature as the Supreme Brahman.
Spiritual seekers, however, are of many dispositions. Each of us must therefore, to reach the ultimate Truth, take a path which is suitable to our own temperament. It is important for a seeker to be clear about the goal and then be steadfast on the prescribed path. The Bhagavad Gītā is a manual of life for seekers of varied temperaments, all of whom will find in it a path most appropriate to them.
These Pendrives are recordings of discourses by Swami Sharadananda Sarasvati during the Gītā Jayanti Winter Camp 2017 held at CIF. Swamiji guided the spiritual aspirants, pointing out the appropriate techniques outlined in the Bhagavad Gītā, explaining how they are to be applied, thereby fortifying seekers on their journey to fulfilment.
Swami Sharadananda Sarasvati is a polyglot with expertise in Sanskrit, Indian Philosophy (Yoga, Advaita) with an in-depth understanding of ritualistic and cultural traditions. With a post graduate degree in Advaita Vedānta, Swamiji combines the best of Gurukula learning with academic excellence.
